Adam Schiff, the Democratic chairman of the committee. Zaid tweeted his “non-partisan” intentions on Sunday. “Being a whistleblower is not a partisan job nor is impeachment an objective. Images showing civilian bodies in the streets of Bucha, a suburb of the capital city of Kyiv, have sparked international outrage since this past weekend. Earlier Monday, President Joe Biden called the reports of numerous dead—as many as 300, according to Bucha’s mayor—“outrageous” and reiterated his belief that Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. But the Biden administration is not going so far as to call the Bucha killings genocide, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described them....

Boulder Police named the Arvada, Colorado, resident as the injured suspect seen in video following the deadly mass shooting Monday at a King Soopers supermarket. The man allegedly opened fire on customers and killed a Boulder police officer, 51-year-old Eric Talley, during the shooting. The deceased victims range in age from 20 years old to 65 years old. A law enforcement press release identified his full name as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa....

Brenda Lee Rawls, 53, died on December 12 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said last week that the cause of death has not yet been determined. Rawls’ family said that on December 11, she told her family she planned to go to the home of a man she was acquainted with who lived not far from her. Her sister, Dorothy Rawls Washington, said that they tried to reach her on December 12 and 13 and could not get a hold of her....

Jacob Delgado, the officer accused of posting the picture on May 31, graduated from police academy following 27 weeks of training. He had worked for the department for less than two years. BuzzFeed News published the picture on Thursday, which was supposedly uploaded around the time a city protest turned violent. The photo was later removed from the officer’s social media account. “The images depicted here are very disturbing and are not in line with the high standards we hold our officers accountable for,” said Long Beach Police Chief Robert Luna of the social media post in a statement....
