It’s interesting as to why Fergie has revealed this information now bearing in mind it happened ten years ago! How many chances did he have in the build up to big games etc to do it?
We can all sit here and try and imagine what it would have been like if he accepted the offer but the facts are that he didn’t!
Despite the ridiculous turnover of managers at Stamford Bridge since Roman Abramovich took over, Chelsea have won it all now and have turned back to Jose Mourinho with a different long term aim similar to that of Fergie at United.
Chelsea have won 11 trophies in the ten years of Abramovich:
Europa League 2012/13, Champions League 2011/12, FA Cup 2011/12, FA Cup 2009/10, Premier League 2009/10, FA Cup 2008/09, FA Cup 2006/07, League Cup 2006/07, Premier League 2005/06, League Cup 2005/06, Premier League 2004/2005
So if you ask me, who cares if Fergie turned Chelsea down?
