Alexander is said to have livestreamed his approach to the house on Instagram, saying: “She’s my first wife, my only wife. I’m her first husband, I’m here to crash the wedding.”
Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Cameron Henderson said police responded to a trespassing call at 2 p.m. on Thursday and detained Alexander at the wedding location.
He was later arrested after it was found there was a warrant for his arrest in another country, according to AP News.
Officials have said Alexander has now been charged with four misdemeanours: two counts of misdemeanour battery, one count of misdemeanour vandalism and one count of misdemeanour trespassing, per The Independent.

Alexander is Spears’ first husband, though the former couple were only married for a total of 55 hours in 2004.
The pop star and Alexander were childhood friends and they grew up together in Kentwood, Louisiana. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 3, 2004, but the nuptials were then annulled on January 5.
In 2012, Alexander spoke to ABC News about their brief marriage, saying: “She just came out and asked me. She was like, ‘Well, let’s get married.’ And I was like, ‘Sure. You know, let’s do this.’”
He added: “I went with my feelings. I was in love with her… I feel like she felt the same way.”
According to the publication, the annulment documents claimed Spears “lacked understanding of her actions, to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
Alexander is said to be training to be a Mixed Martial Arts fighter.
Spears spoke about the short-lived wedding in March 2004 with E! Entertainment Television, per ABC News, saying she was just “being silly, being rebellious, and not really taking the responsibility of what I was doing, you know?
“And after partying, you know, you really don’t think about what you’re doing. So it was one of those things that were really silly.
“I think I was running away from something. I didn’t quite know what…I’m still figuring out myself and learning every day. But I think I’m more in a good place.
“I like being alone, which is good I think. You know, I love reading books. I’m really a quiet kind of person right now. And so it’s cool to be back and feel like yourself again.”
Despite their brief marriage, Alexander has since assured that there are no hard feelings between them, and when he attended a #FreeBritney rally in August 2020 he told UsWeekly that he’s still “got love for her.”
He added: “But, you know, I’ve had to move on, so it’s kind of like one of those things. It’s not gonna be the end of the world if it don’t happen, but I feel like I’m showing my support.”
