So who is Haggerty?
She’s an actor, model and ordained minister. Haggerty graduated from Second City’s famous improv school in Chicago, where a handful of Saturday Night Live stars and comedians, like Steve Carell and Tina Fey, got their starts. According to her website, she’s currently “interested in Production Assistant roles and 2nd Assistant Director opportunities.”
Haggerty is expected to appear on Tuesday night’s episode of Bachelor In Paradise, according to spoiler site Reality Steve. It’s then the show will premiere its first same-sex relationship, and even a possible engagement, on any of the Bachelor franchise shows.
Viewers of Bachelor In Paradise already know Burnett has a girlfriend back home. She’s been vocal to both friends, and the person she’s pursuing on the summer spinoff, Derek Peth, that she does have someone at home on her mind. Burnett decided to sign on to Paradise anyway because, as she explained at the start of the season, she may have tunnel vision into her relationship with Haggerty, and wanted to see if there way anything else out there for her.
Burnett explained her relationship with Haggerty was not exclusive. Haggerty may arrive and change that, though, depending on how her time in Paradise goes over with Burnett.
One of the most Googled questions about Haggerty is which season of The Bachelor she appeared on. The answer: she wasn’t. Instead, she met Burnett through mutual friends.
Haggerty’s appearance on Bachelor In Paradise may have been planned all along, according to Reality Steve. “Demi talked about it with producers, she knew Kristian was gonna be brought in after filming had started, and she wanted to use the show as an outlet to come out as bisexual,” the spoiler site wrote. “They’re not having Kristian battle over other men for Demi or anything like that. They are there and they are a couple and, seemingly, I guess just seeing where it goes. But the fact they didn’t leave together right away makes me think these two will stay ’til the very end.”
