Sanko will graduate from her color commentary position on Dana White’s Contender Series, as she will now be calling the action during an official UFC Fight Night. She has been an integral part of the UFC’s pre- and post-fight shows for several years now, and has commentated on the Road to UFC tournament alongside John Gooden.
Sanko is a former MMA fighter who competed at atomweight and holds a 1-0 record. Following retirement, she began working as a broadcaster for Invicta FC before transitioning to the UFC in 2016.
During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Laura Sanko explained her journey from being a fan of combat sports to a history-making broadcaster within the sport’s biggest promotion.
Sanko also stated that it would be a dream of hers to be paired alongside longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan for a UFC pay-per-view:

Laura Sanko predicts Jon Jones to be successful at heavyweight
Laura Sanko shared her thoughts on Jon Jones’ move from light heavyweight to heavyweight, and believes that ‘Bones’ will be successful in the heavier weight division.
Jones last fought in February 2020 against Dominick Reyes and has taken time off to bulk up in preparation for his move northwards. His return was recently announced, and ‘Bones’ will face Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 285 in March.
